Men's Indoor Track & Field

Men's and women's indoor track and field squads put on a show at Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational

The Medgar Evers College men's and women's indoor track and field teams put forth fantastic performances while competing at the Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational this past weekend in New London, CT. The Cougars set personal records, qualified for CUNYAC championship events, shattered long-standing school records, and climbed both conference and national rankings.

Quote from Coach Reid:

"The Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational proved to be a historic meet for Medgar Evers College Track and Field programs, as the teams delivered tremendous efforts, including record-breaking performances, personal bests, and crucial qualifications for the CUNYAC and AARTFC NCAA Regional Championships. This past weekend, our student-athletes' determination and talent continued to shine brightly, as every athlete who competed stepped up, epitomizing grit, resilience, and teamwork. This was truly a defining moment for the teams, as they were a bit wary competing on an unconventional track, yet they were still able to showcase their talent. As the season gets into full swing, we look to continue to build on their stellar performances thus far this season. I know that with more hard work and evolving goals, the team is poised for continued success and both individual athletes and relay teams will leave an indelible mark on MEC's track and field record books!"
