Men's Indoor Track & Field

Cougars earn multiple CUNYAC qualifiers, AARTFC regional qualifiers, MEC records, and personal-bests at Art Kadish Elm City Challenge

The Medgar Evers College Indoor Track & Field program closed out 2025 with a statement performance at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, hosted by Southern Connecticut State University. Competing against strong Division I and II programs including Fordham, Adelphi, Southern Connecticut State University, and Bridgeport, MEC navigated a demanding two-day schedule and once again rose to the occasion. The Cougars displayed poise, depth, and resilience throughout the meet, earning multiple CUNYAC qualifiers, AARTFC regional qualifying marks, school records, and personal bests across events.

Quote from Coach Reid:

"I'm extremely proud of the way our athletes competed this weekend. We went up against strong Division I and II programs, and our team responded with confidence, toughness, and belief in one another. The personal bests, school records, and qualifying marks show that the work we've been putting in is starting to pay off. That said, this is only the beginning. We still have a lot of work ahead of us if we're going to accomplish our goals, and we understand that success at the championship level requires consistency, discipline, and continued focus. The standard has been set—now it's on us to keep raising it."
