Senior standout Clirian Nunez earns CUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Month Honorable Mention for September

Medgar Evers College men's soccer senior standout Clirian Nunez has earned a CUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Month Honorable Mention for September 2026.

In order to be considered for the CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month award, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and contributed to their team's success in that month.

A junior Business major, Nunez helped the Cougars get off to a hot start with a 5-1-1 record in September. In goal, he appeared in four games, posting a 1.71 GAA, and .538 save percentage.

The Cougars' men's soccer team returns to action on Monday evening, as Medgar Evers will travel to Immaculata, PA to take on Immaculata University in the final non-conference match of the season. Start-time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
