Men's Indoor Track & Field

Cougars produce multiple CUNYAC and AARTFC regional qualifiers, institutional records, and personal bests at Pioneer Fast Trax Invitational

The Pioneer Fast Trax Invitational served as an important tune-up meet as the Medgar Evers College Indoor Track & Field program continued its push toward the final competitions of the 2025-2026 indoor season. Competing against a deep and highly-competitive field featuring upstate NCAA Division III powerhouses such as SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Hartwick College, and Hamilton College, the Cougars delivered one of their strongest collective performances of the season.

Across all event groups, Medgar Evers student-athletes demonstrated clear progression, competitive maturity, and a growing regional presence—producing multiple CUNYAC qualifying marks, AARTFC regional qualifiers, school records, and personal bests as the championship phase of the season approaches.

Quote from Coach Reid:

"This meet showed exactly where we are headed," Reid said. "Our athletes are pushing themselves toward that regional standard, and you can see the confidence growing with every qualifier, every personal best, and every record broken. As we move closer to conference, the focus is sharpening—physically and mentally—and the belief that we can compete at the regional level and win championships is becoming very real."
