Box Score Women's Volleyball Falls to Old Westbury in Nonconference Match
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Oct. 13, 2016) – On Thursday night, the women's volleyball team took on the Panthers of Old Westbury College in a nonconference matchup. The Lady Cougars came close to taking the second set but they couldn't hang on. Old Westbury would eventually win the match in straight sets. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-22 on the year and Old Westbury improves to 2-14.
 
The lone bright spots for Medgar Evers were freshman Adenike Akindude who recorded a game-high nine digs on the night as well as five kills and four assists while senior Naomi Chandler added five digs, three kills and two assists to her credit as well.
 
Women's volleyball will be back in action on Thursday, October 20, as they take on John Jay College in a CUNYAC matchup.
