Box Score The Medgar Evers College men's volleyball team played a home nonconference match against St. Joseph's College - Brooklyn at the Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, NY, on Thursday, February 28.
The Cougars (9-0) defeated the Bears (0-9) in straight sets (25-19, 25-13, 25-20).

Austin Romeo aces, the Cougars claimed set one, leading wire-to-wire.
The second set was a dominant performance as MEC used an 8-0 run to take an 11-3 advantage. SJC narrowed the lead to seven points at 14-7, but the Cougars only extended their lead from there.
The third set was somewhat closer, with the score sitting at 16-15 Cougars, but then MEC went on a 4-0 run and never looked back, closing out the match.
Enmanuel Jaquez led all players with 12 kills and completed his fifth double-double of the season with 10 digs.
Gerod Humphrey contributed five kills to just one error on 10 atacks, while
Kareem Cyrus totaled 20 assists.
Romeo finished with five digs in addition to his game-high three aces. Jaquez, Humphrey and Cyrus each totaled two aces.
The Cougars return to action on Tuesday, March 5, for a road CUNYAC contest at Lehman College in the Bronx, NY, at 6 pm.
