Meet Results

The CUNY Athletic Conference held its 2023 Indoor Track & Field Championship yesterday at the Nike Track & Field Center at the Armory, and Medgar Evers' women's team competed, turning in some solid performances throughout the course of the day.

Despite not scoring as a team, the Cougars' talent was on display. Freshman Bianca Woodberry, out of Performing Arts and Technology High School, finished in first place in the 60 Meter Preliminaries, earning a stellar time of 8.50.

Freshman Nana Samake, a dual-sport athlete at Medgar Evers, turned in a solid performance in the 800 Meter Run, finishing in second place by crossing the line in 2:45.54.

Rounding out the Cougars' contingent of runners were freshman Alyssa Wheeler and sophomore Amber Adrien, who finished in sixth and 11th place in the 200 Meter Run, respectively.

The Hunter College Hawks compiled 152 team points, winning their seventh CUNYAC title in the process, outscoring CCNY, who earned 114 points. The Most Valuable Performer of the meet was Lehman College's Aminata Sissoko.
