Medgar Evers College men's soccer freshman standout Mark Rogers Jr. is taking his talents to the international stage.

The defender has been called up to the Montserrat Men's National Team for the Concacaf Nations League, marking another significant milestone in the young midfielder/forward's emerging soccer career.

Rogers Jr. will join Montserrat as the Emerald Boys compete in Nations League action against the Turks and Caicos Islands on September 23 and the British Virgin Islands on September 26.

The call-up adds another chapter to what has already been an impressive international résumé for the Medgar Evers freshman. Rogers Jr. previously represented Montserrat at the U-20 level before earning his first opportunity with the senior national team. He has already made one senior-team appearance and scored one goal.

Now, the freshman Cougar will have the opportunity to continue representing his country on one of the region's international soccer stages.

For Medgar Evers College, Rogers Jr.'s selection represents another accomplishment for the Cougars unbeaten men's soccer team, and highlights the level of talent currently competing at the institution

From wearing the black and yellow of Medgar Evers College to representing the national colors of Montserrat, Rogers Jr. is representing Brooklyn's soccer community very proudly.
