Men Soccer falls to Baruch in CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Soccer Champs Quarters

Maspeth, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Soccer team fell to the Baruch College Bearcats by a score of 2-1 in the Qyarter-Final Round of the 2010 CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Soccer Championships on Wednesday Oct. 27, 2010.

The Cougars entered the Championships as the #8 seed vs. the #1 seeded Bearcats. The game was very tough for the Cougars, getting their chances to score but just couldn't find the back of the net.

The Cougars tallied 3 shots, 2 of which were on goal.Kerri Pryce has 2 of the 3 shots and scored a goal at the 66th min. Sherwin Henry had the other shot. Both had a shot on goal. Najeeb Bandaogo gave up 2 goals on 4 shots he saved. He played the full 90 minutes.

Baruch finished the game with 15 shots, 6 shots were on goal. 5 players had at least a shot on goal, with Jason Lopez tallying 2 shots. Bearcats goals were from Kyle Keague (6th min) and Stefan Cocea (56th min). Bearcat keeper Michael Murphy faced a shot and a shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.

The game was scrappy which featured 8 Yellow Cards and 2 Red Cards. MEC received the majority of the cards with 2 players Miguel Rodriguez and Thierno Bah receiving the infamous Red Card in the 64th and 66th minutes respectively.

The Cougars finished the season with a record of 6-10-2 while the Bearcats improve to 12-4-1.
