Box Score Brooklyn, NY- On Tuesday Oct. 16, 2012, the Men's Soccer team played the Lehman College Lightning in a must win conference match as the season is winding down. Lehman defeated Medgar Evers 4-0. They improve to 4-12-1 Overall and 3-5 CUNYAC, while Medgar Evers drops to 1-12 Overall and 0-7 CUNYAC.
The 1st half was full of energy and clean passes for the Cougars. Both teams had chances to score in the 1st half, but either shot high, wide, or was saved by the goal keepers. In the 2nd half, the Lightning scored 3 minutes and never looked back,
Medgar Evers College was outshot 20-12 and 13-8 on goal.
Christopher Welsh played all 90 miuntes, gave up 4 goals and made 5 saves. Lehman keeper Frantz Enama played all 90 minutes and made 8 saves.
The Cougars will be back in action on Friday Oct. 19, 2012 when they travel to Hyde Park, NY to play the Culinary Institute of America Steels. Game time is 4pm.
