Bronxville, NY- The Cougars fell to Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons 3-0 (16-25, 19-25, 24-26) on Saturday February 25, 2012. SLC improves to 2-3 Overall while the Cougars continue to slide at 0-8 Overall.

These two teams met a week prior with SLC winning in 5 sets. The Gryphons dominated the first 2 sets, due the Cougars committing 16 errors. In the 3rd set, MEC had the for most of the set. They had a 14-9 lead before SLC came back. Two attacking errors led to the Cougars demise.

MEC was led by Jamal Baptiste. The Senior Middle Hitter, tallied a game high 13 kills, an assist, 11 digs, and 3 solo blocks. Lancedale Calderon totaled 13 assists, and Jason Brown with 2 service aces.

SLC was led by Ezra Marcus with 11 kills.

MEC will be back in action on Monday February 27, 2012 when they take on the Bears of St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) at Brooklyn Tech. Game time is 7pm.
