Brooklyn, NY- The Cougars fell for the 2nd time this season to St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) at Brooklyn Tech 3-1 (18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 13-25) on Monday February 27, 2012. St. Joes Bears improves to 2-5 Overall while MEC drops to 0-9.

MEC had several leads in the first 2 sets but saw them evaporate. They committed 22 errors in those 2 sets. MEC tallied 10 kills on their way to win the 3rd and force a forth set. St. Joes tallied 12 kills compared to MEC's 5 kills.

MEC was led by Jamal Baptiste and Olando Cummings. Each tallied 8 kills. Lancedale Calderon totaled 21 assists and Jason Brown added 5 service aces.

The Bears were led by Martin Torres and Raul Urshela with 15 kills apiece.

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday February 28, 2012 when they take on boro and conference rival Brooklyn College Bulldogs. Game time is 7pm at MEC.
