Brooklyn, NY- The Cougars fell to the St. Joseph's College Brooklyn Campus 3-1 on Thursday February 9, 2012 at MEC in the season opener. The Cougars fell to 0-4 Overall while the Bears recorded their first ever victory as a NCAA Institution.
Jamal Baptiste scored a career and game high 21 kills to go along with a blocking assist.
Olando Cummings tallied 6 kills, to go along with a service ace, 2 digs, a solo block, and 3 blocking assits.
Lancedale Calderon tallied a match high 27 assists.
Jason Brown and
Christopher Welsh each tallied 2 service aces.
The Bears were led by Martin Torres and Raul Urshela each tallying 8 kills.
The Cougars will be back in action on Sunday February 19, 2012 when they play Washington Adventist University and Sarah Lawrence College in a non conference multi match held at MEC. The matches will begin at 2pM.
