COUGARS FALL TO LEHMAN 3-1 IN MEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Brooklyn, NY- The Cougars fell to the Lehman College Lightning 3-1 (25-0, 14-25, 13-25, 22-25) on Tuesday March 6, 2012 at MEC. The win improved Lehman to 9-6 Overall and 5-3 CUNYAC while MEC drops to 0-12 Overall and 0-5 CUNYAC.

MEC won the first set due to Lehman showing up to the match a half hr after the schedule start. When Lehman started to they play, they made up for the lack up of warmup time. For the match, the Lightning only committed 5 errors compared to MEC's 12. Lehman tallied more kills than MEC 29-22 and 16-0 in Service aces.

MEC was led in the loss from Jason Brown. Brown recorded a game high 7 kills to go along with 2 assists and 6 digs. Lance Calderon tallied a game high 16 assists, and Chris Welsh, Erick Pericles, and Olando Cummings each with a blocking assist.

Lehman was led by Manuel Bonilla with 9 kills.

MEC will be back in action on Thursday March 8, 2012 when they take on conference rival Baruch College in a dual match at Baruch. Game time is 6pm.
