New York, NY- The Cougars dropped a pair of conference matches to Baruch College Bearcats 3-0 and 3-0 on Thursday March 8, 2012 at Baruch College.
In match 1, Baruch won 3-0 (9-25, 10-25, 6-25). They improved to 10-7 Overall and 6-1 CUNYAC while MEC fell to 0-13 Overall and 0-6 CUNYAC.

MEC was led by Jason Brown who tallied 6 kills. Brown also tallied a dig. Jamal Baptiste added the other kill. Baptiste also added a solo block.

Baruch was led from Vincent Cruz and Steven Coniglio. They both recorded 7 kills.

In match 2, Baruch won 3-0 (4-25, 13-25, 9-25). Baruch improved to 11-7 Overall and 7-1 CUNYAC while MEC fell to 0-14 Overall and 0-7 CUNYAC.

MEC only tallied 11 kills for the match. MEC was led by Jason Brown. He once again tallied 6 kills to go along with an assist, a service ace, and 4 digs. Lancedale Calderon recorded 7 assists.

Baruch was led by Taylor Higgs with 10 kills.

MEC will be back in action when they compete in the 8th Annual York College MV Tournament taking place this Friday March 9 and Saturday March 10. MEC will play D2 Mt. Olive College. Game time is 4:30pm.
