Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The 2013 Men's Volleyball season got underway with a matchup against the York College Cardinals. The Cardinals defeated the Cougars 3-0 (25-1, 25-11, and 25-3). The win improved the Cardinals to 11-4 Overall and 2-0 CUNYAC while the Cougars are 0-1 Overall and 0-1 CUNYAC.

Medgar Evers College only had 6 players compete in the match. This season's team is young but eager to learn the game.

The Cougars in the loss, were led by Sophomore Kadeem James with 2 service aces. Freshman's Jamal Chance and Jamel Lewis earned a kill as well.

The Cardinals in the win were led by Emmanuel Geffrard with 6 kills. Jon Peter Sardea added 24 assists.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday March 2, 2013 when they travel to Brooklyn College and play the Lehman College Lightning. Game time is 1pm.
