Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Cougars Volleyball squad fell to the Yeshiva University Maccabees 3-0 (9-25, 18-25, and 3-25) earlier tonight at Medgar Evers College. The loss drops the Medgar Evers College Cougars to 0-6 Overall while the Maccabees improve to 5-16 Overall.

In Set 1, the errors were the downfall of the Cougars. Eight was the amount of errors they committed and needed to clean this up in the 2nd set. In Set 2, the errors went down to just 4 and they tallied a game high 4 kills. In Set 3, the Cougars committed 7 errors.

In the loss, Junior Shemroy Primo tallied 2 kills on 23 total attacks. Primo recorded a team high 3 service aces, and added 5 digs. Sophomore Wen-Liang Zhu tallied a team high 3 assists, and Sophomore Kadeem James recorded a team high 2 solo blocks. 

In the win, Yeshiva was led by Jared Rechnitz with 9 kills and Elchanan Margolis added 5 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday March 14, 2013, when they play the Hunter College Hawks in a double header. The game will take place at Hunter College and start at 6pm.
