COUGARS FALL IN THEIR MULTI MATCH TO YESHIVA AND WASHINGTON ADVENTIST

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College fell to the Yeshiva University Maccabees 3-0 (10-25, 7-25, and 11-25) in Match 1. The Maccabees improve to 7-16 Overall while the Cougars fall to 0-9 Overall.

This was the 2nd meeting between these two schools in less than a week. Freshman Jamal Chance stepped up and led the team with 5 kills on 10 total attacks. Chance added a dig and 2 blocking assists. Senior Christopher Welsh tallied 4 kills on 20 total attacks. Setter Wen-Liang Zhu recorded 7 assists.

Yeshiva in the win was led by Daniel Lapson and Jared Rechnitz each with 5 kills.

In match 2, the Cougars fell to the Washington Adventist University Shock 3-0 (15-25, 13-25, and 21-25). The Cougars fell to 0-10 Overall while the Shock improve to 3-10 Overall.

The Cougars tallied only 13 kills. Senior Christopher Welsh tallied 7 of those kills. Welsh added an assist, 10 digs, a solo and a blocking assits. Setter Wen-Liang Zhu recorded a team high 9 assists, and added 2 service aces.

The Shock in the win were led by Paul Lim with 7 kills. 

The Cougars will look to regroup and take on the Baruch College Bearcats in a double header on Tuesday March 19, 2013. Game times will be 6pm and 8pm at Baruch College.
