Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Cougars fell to the Yeshiva University Maccabees 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, and 25-18) earlier tonight. The win improved the Maccabees record to 4-9 Overall while the Cougars drop to 0-12 Overall. 

The Cougars played catchup in the first two sets. As a team, they tallied nine kills on 46 total attacks. In the 3rd set, the Cougars played a little better. They led twice in the set (1-0 and 8-7). The Cougars tallied seven kills in the set on 26 total attacks.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Freshman Outside Hitter Austin Crawford with 10 kills on 35 total attacks. This matched his 10 kills perfomance when he played at Pratt Institute back on March 1, 2014. The Belize native dished out two assists, added a service ace, and four digs. Freshman Setter Angel Seda recorded a team high 10 assists.

In the win, Yeshiva was led by Joshua Teller and Jared Rechnitz with eight kills apiece. Adam Rhodes dishied out a match high 24 assists.

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday March 13, 2014, when they play the Hunter College Hawks. Game time will be 7pm at Medgar Evers College.
