COUGARS FALL TO CARDINALS AND BULLDOGS IN MEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Volleyball team played the York College Cardinals and the Brooklyn College Bulldogs, in the season finale CUNYAC Multi Match, held at Baruch College. 

In match 1, the Cougars fell to the York College Cardinals 3-0 (10-25, 9-25, 12-25). The Cardinals improve to 17-15 Overall and 9-2 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-21 Overall and 0-12 CUNYAC. 

The Cougars tallied nine kills on 54 total attacks. Leading the Cougars was Freshman Outside Hitter Austin Crawford and Sophomore Middle Hitter Jamal Chance each with four kills apiece. Chance added two digs, and Crawford added an assist, and five digs. Sophomore Middle Hitter and Co-Captain Adiel Ramos Munoz  dished out a team high seven assists.

In the win, York was led by Edner Geffrard with six kills.

In match 2,  the Cougars fell to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs. The Bulldogs won 3-0 (13-25, 9-25, and 11-25). The Bulldogs improve to 14-12 Overall and 7-6 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-22 Overall and 0-13 CUNYAC. 

The Cougars tallied 11 kills on 46 total attacks. 

In the loss, the Cougars were led by a trio of student-athletes. Freshman Opposite Hitter Ronald Bonhomme, Sophomore Middle Hitter Jamal Chance, and Freshman Outside Hitter Austin Crawford all recorded three kills. Chance led the team with a service ace, and three blocking assists. Sophomore Middle Hitter and Co-Captain Adiel Ramos Muonz dished out a team high nine assists. 

In the win, Brooklyn College was led by Antony Koyfman with 10 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday April, 1st, 2014, when they play the Lehman College Lightning. This match will be the regular season finale, and will honor Senior Middle Hitter Shemroy Primo, prior to the game, First serve is 7pm.
