Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Volleyball fell to the Lehman College Lightning 3-0 (16-25, 21-25, 24-26) earlier tonight. The Lightning improve to 9-17 Overall and 4-10 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-23 Overall and 0-14 CUNYAC.
This was the regular season finale for the Cougars. They poured their heart out in this match. They led a few times, throughout the match, but couldn't win any of the three sets. The Cougars tallied 21 kills for the match.
In the loss, the Cougars were led by Freshman Outside Hitter
Austin Crawford with eight kills on 27 total attacks. The Belize native recorded a career high and game high 25 digs. He also added a solo block, and a blocking assist. Sophomore Middle Hitter
Jamal Chance tallied six kills on 12 total attacks. The Grenada native led the team with three blocking assists. Sophomore Outside Hitter and Co-Captain
Adiel Ramos Munoz led the team with nine assists. Freshman Setter and Co-Captain
Angel Seda recoded a career high 12 digs.
In the win, Lehman was led by Miguel Gallardo and Ramon Jimenez with nine kills apiece.
The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday April 8th, 2014, when they play the Baruch College Bearcats. They will compete at the 2014 Men's Volleyball CUNYAC Championships. The Cougars are entering as the #8 seed and will play the top seeded Baruch College. Game time is 8pm at the ARC Arena.
