COUGARS MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TOP SEEDED BARUCH COLLEGE ENDING THE 2014 CAMPAIGN

Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Volleyball team fell to the #15 ranked in NCAA Baruch College Bearcats 3-0 (14-25, 5-25-11-25). This match was the #8 seeded Cougars @ the #1 seeded Bearcats in the 2014 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Championships. The Cougars finish the season at 0-24 Overall while the Bearcats improve to 25-10 Overall.

The Cougars started the match off on a high note. They led two times, within the first seven points. They led by scores 6-5 and 7-6. The Cougars tallied a hitting percentage .800%, a season best for one set. Medgar Evers College tallied 11 kills for the match, four in the first set.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Freshman Outside Hitter Austin Crawford with seven kills on 14 total attacks. Crawford added a dig. Sophomore Middle Hitter Jamal Chance recorded four kills. Chance tallied two digs. Freshman Setter and Co-Captain Adiel Ramos Munoz led the team with seven assists.  

In the win, Baruch was led by Steven Coniglio with 17 kills. Brian Congilio led the match with 17 assists.

With the season done, we can look back at some individual accomplishments. Freshman Austin Crawford tallied a career high 25 digs vs. Lehman College back on 4/1/14. He currently ranks #48 in NCAA under Digs Per Set. Freshman Setter and Co-Captain Angel Seda dished out a career high 18 assists vs. St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn, back on 2/19/14. Seda currently ranks #68 in Assists Per Set. Fellow teammate and Co-Captain Adiel Ramos Munoz tallied a career high nine kills, twice back on 3/29/14 vs Brooklyn College, and 4/1/14 vs. Lehman College. Adiel ranks #87 in Assists Per Set in NCAA.
