Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Soccer team defeated the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons 4-3 earlier tonight. The win improved the Cougars to 1-1 Overall while Sarah Lawrence drops to 0-2 Overall.
The game started off right for the Gryphons, scoring three goals in the first 27 minutes. The Cougars had a couple chances in that time frame to score, but did not succeed. Then with just about a minute left, Junior Forward

Osondu Esonwune started the 1st half in Goalie. The Nigerian gave up three goals, and two saves.
In the 2nd half, the Cougars came out on fire. They outscored Sarah Lawrence 14-1 in shots, which led to three goals. In the 55th minute, Freshman
Dave Henry scored his 1st goal of the season, off a pass from Sophomore Forward
Kedric Flemius. This made the score 3-2 Gryphons. Fast forward to the 85th minute, and 1st half goalie
Osondu Esonwune, now playing the field, scores his 1st goal of the season, off a pass from
Zeakiel Daley. Daley crossed the ball to the net, and it was mishandled by Sarah Lawrence goalie James Berry. This tied the game at 3. Nearly two minutes, Junior
Zeakiel Daley scored his 2nd goal, of the game, and season, when he received a pass from
Kedric Flemius.Â

Sadia LePrince Bodian played the 2nd half, giving up no goals, and not making a save. Sarah Lawrence Goalie James Berry played all 90 minutes, gave up four goals, and made nine saves. Â
The Cougars recorded 22 shots (13 shots on goal), compared to Sarah Lawrence with 7 shots (5 shots on goal).
The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday Sept. 17, 2014, when they take on Ramapo College Roadrunners. Game time is 4pm at Old Boys Field in Brooklyn, NY.
