Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Soccer team fell to the Ramapo College Roadrunners 7-1 earlier today. The Rodrunners improve to 5-2-1 Overall, while the Cougars drop to 1-2 Overall.
The Cougars were outshot 15-1 in the 1st half. Starting goalie and Freshman
Roderick Hurley gave up five goals, and made six saves. The Cougars dribbled the ball well, and made some nice passes, but Ramapo played tight defense and capitalized on the Cougars miscues.
In the 2nd half, Sophomore
Kedric Flemius played in the net, giving up two goals, and making three saves. The Cougars tallied six shots compared to Ramapo's five.
The Cougars got on the scoreboard in the 64th minute. Senior Defender
Denzel Sebastian crossed the ball on the right side of the field to Junior Forward
Zeakiel Daley, who blasted a shot, past keeper Ryan Sprague. This was Daley's 3rd goal of the season.
The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday Sept. 20, 2014, when they play the Lehman College Lightning at Aviator Sports and Recreational Center in Brooklyn, NY. Game time is 4:00.
