Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Soccer team defeated the Lehman College Lightning 5-4 at Aviator Sports and Recreational Center. The win improved the Cougars record to 2-2 Overall and 1-0 CUNYAC, while the Lightning drop to 1-6 Overall and 0-1 CUNYAC. This win was the 1st time since 2008, the Cougars defeated Lehman College. 

In the 1st half, the Cougars outshot Lehman 4-1. The play was aggresive and Lehman got on the board first. With 12:07 on the clock, Essosa Aluyi scored on a cross in the box from Irvin Rivera, making the score 1-0 Lehman. Fastforward to the 26th minute, when Junior Forward Zeakiel Daley scored off a header from Freshman Forward King Owusu. This was Daley's 4th goal of the season, and tied the score at 1-1. The Cougars would strike again in the 39th minute. A pass from Senior Defender Denzel Sebastian, Daley would score again, giving Medgar Evers College a 2-1 lead. This was his 5th of the season. 

In the 2nd half, Lehman outscored the Cougars 8-4. The Cougars would score three goals in this half. Freshman Forward Patrick Gentles scored in the 48th minute from fellow Freshman Forward Osondu Esonwune, making the score 3-1 Cougars. This was Gentles 1st goal of the season. Two minutes later, Freshman Forward Mamadou Kone scored on a blast from 20yds, making the score 4-1 Cougars. This was Kones 1st goal of the season. The Cougars last goal, came from Freshman Osonde Esonwune, on a pass from Forward King Owusu. This made the score 4-1 Cougars. It was Esonwunes 2nd goal of the season, and Owusus 2nd assist of the game. In the 70th minute, Lehman would make the game interesting. Jonathan Moallem scored on a pass from Anthony O'Conner, cutting the lead to 4-2 Cougars. In the 84th minute, Essosa Aluyi would score his 2nd goal of the match, followed by another goal nearly two minutes later. The Cougars would hold on the ball, and come away with the 5-4 win.

Sophomore Goalie Kedric Flemius played all 90 minutes, giving up four goals, and making two saves.
