Box Score Staten Island, NY - The Medgar Evers College Men's Soccer team fell to the College of Staten Island Dolphins 1-0 earlier today. The win for the Dolphins improves their record to 4-6 (2-0 CUNYAC), as the Cougars even up their record at 3-3 (1-1 CUNYAC) as their two game winning streak comes to an end.
The Cougars experienced a challenge with time of possession, which led to a scoreless contest. The lone goal for the Dolphins came in the 6th minute when Nicholas Bacarella scored past Cougars Sophomore Goalie
Kedric Flemius. The Cougars recorded seven shots with four on-goal as the Dolphins' goalie faced 32 shots.
The goalies for each squad played equally well with the Cougars'
Kedric Flemius playing all 90 minutes and making nine saves while Dolphins netminder John Gioeli also played the entire contest while making three saves.
The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday September 27th, 2014, when they play the City College of New York Beavers. Game time will be 12:00pm, and will be held at Aviator Sports and Recreation Center.Â
