MEN'S VOLLEYBALL GOES THE DISTANCE AGAINST ST. JOES BROOKLYN

Brooklyn, NY- The Men's Volleyball team fell to the St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears 3-2 (16-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-21, and 11-15). The Bears improve to 1-0 overall while the Cougars drop to 0-1 overall.

The Cougars tallied 30 kills on 76 total attacks. They showed great teamwork and courage against the Bears. The Bears tallied 34 kills on 99 total attacks. Both teams made 12 errors. 

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Junior Middle Hitter/Opposite Hitter Jamal Chance with a team high 13 kills on 27 total attacks. Jamal recorded eight service aces, and match highs in digs 14; three solo blocks, and a blocking assist.Sophomore Setter Angel Seda dished out a team high 20 assists, and Junior Outside Hitter/Setter Adiel Ramos Munoz accumulated 13 digs. The Bears were led by Raul Urshela with 14 kills and Taso Kostikas with 13 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, January. 31, 2015, when the Bard College Raptors come to Medgar Evers College. First serve is 12:00 pm.
