DENZEL WILLIAMS TALLIES CAREER HIGH 11 KILLS AGAINST BEARS

BROOKLYN, N.Y.- The Men's Volleyball team fell to the Saint Joseph's College Brooklyn Bears 3-0 (23-25, 11-25, 18-25). The Bears improve to 5-3 overall while the Cougars drop to 0-11 overall.

The Cougars led a few times in the 1st set. It was a back and forth set. Medgar Evers College tallied 24 kills on 62 total attacks. Leading the way for the Cougars was freshman outside hitter/middle hitter Denzel Williams with a team high 11 kills on 24 total attacks. Denzel added two service aces and six digs. Junior middle hitter/opposite Jamal Chance recorded seven kills on 16 total attacks. Jamal added six digs and two blocking assist. Sophomore setter Angel Seda dished out 15 assists. Angel added two kills, a service ace, five digs, a solo block, and two blocking assists. The Bears were led by Raul Urshela with 13 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday, February. 26, 2015, when they play the City College of New York Beavers. First serve will be at 7:00 p.m.
