Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y.- The Men's Volleyball team defeated the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons 3-2 (25-13, 19-25, 25-17, 18-25, and 15-5) earlier tonight. The win is the first for the Cougars since 2011, snapping a 92 match losing streak. 

This was the 2nd match this season, that the Cougars went the full five sets. In set one, the Cougars recorded eight kills on 13 total attacks. They led wire to wire. In set two, the Cougars recorded eight kills on 23 total attacks. The Cougars tied the score, just once at 18 apiece. Sarah Lawrence won the set. In set three, the Cougars recorded nine kills on 28 total attacks. This was the last set, that featured at least a tie, and a lead change. The Cougars led twice and won the set. In set four, Sarah Lawrence led wire to wire. The Cougars recorded six kills on 30 total attacks. In the fifth set, the Cougars led wire to wire. They had a ton of momentum, and had the experience to push through the adversity. They recorded three kills on 16 total attacks.

The Cougars were led by junior middle hitter/opposite hitter Jamal Chance with 16 kills on 40 total attacks. Jamal added four service aces, five digs, and two blocking assists. Freshman outside hitter/middle hitter Denzel Williams recorded 11 kills on 31 total attacks. Denzel dished out an assist, added a service ace, four digs, and a blocking assist. Sophomore setter Angel Seda dished out a match high 19 assists. Sarah Lawrence was led by Alex Carroll, Richie Warke, and Cameron Martinez with five kills apiece.    

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday, March. 12, when they travel to New York, N.Y. and play the Baruch College Bearcats.
