The senior Daley led the Cougars (2-5) to their second straight victory with all three of the team's goals, including the game-winning goal. Dave Henry (Carrefour, Haiti/Sheepshead Bay) and Patrick Gentle (Portmore, Jamaica/Jonathan Grant) each added an assist on the evening, while goalkeeper Ziyaddeen Mohammed (Accra, Ghana/Lower East Side) stopped two shots out of the four fired on goal for his second straight victory in net.

After a scoreless first 11 minutes, Medgar Evers grabbed the early advantage when Daley scored on a breakaway from a shot coming from midfield that beat the keeper. The Bears would knot up the score at 30:40, when Mano would knock in a goal off a Barrios cross from the right side. Godaudze would put St. Joseph's up 2-1 at 34:10, but Daley would respond 30 seconds later to tie the game and go into intermission even at 2-2.

They would break through at 57:17 when Daley recorded a hat trick from a Gentle pass sent forward from midfield to go up 3-2. The Bears had a few good opportunities to put in the equalizer, including two corner kicks in a row, but could not crack through the Cougars defense to secure their second straight victory.
