Box Score UNION, N.J. – The Medgar Evers men's soccer team were outshot 48-5 as they lost on the road to Kean University, 7-0, Tuesday evening in Union.

For the Cougars (0-3),
Joshua Fernandez (Queens, N.Y./Far Rockaway) put up two shots on goal, while
Jeron Davidson (Arima, Trinidad/Trinity College East) fired one shot of his own. In net, keeper
Ziyaddeen Mohammed (Accra, Ghana/Lower East Side) saw 18 shots on net, and made 11 saves in a losing effort.

Kean (3-1) was led by Erick Reyes, who tallied two goals while Tom Bogert added a a goal and an assist in the win. Carmine Colasurdo, Bryan Blandon and Richard Zapata were among five other players with a goal apiecefor the home squad.

In the first half, Kean grabbed the lead at 12:51 when Reyes netted his first goal of the game on a header in front from a long shot attempt by Bogert. Two more scores in the second half by Colasurdo and Joe Koetters gave the home team a 3-0 advantage into halftime

The second half saw Kean notch two goals in the first three minutes of the stanza, both of them coming within 34 seconds of each other. They would finish up with two more goals that would put the game out of reach.
