Box Score Men's Soccer Defeated 3-2 by Sarah Lawrence in Nonconference Match
YONKERS, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2016) – On Monday night, the men's soccer team took on the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College in a nonconference matchup. Sarah Lawrence got on the board first with a goal by Finn Macmillan in the 35^th minute and went into halftime up 1-0. Freshman Kaelum Prince evened the score at one in the 55^th minute when he scored from 20 yards out off of a failed cleared attempt by the Gryphons.
 
Then Medgar Evers took the lead in the 64^th minute when freshman Voshawn Joba scored off the assist from junior Patrick Gentles. Sarah Lawrence tied it up shortly after with another goal from Macmillan in the 69^th minute and then in 78^th minute they scored the game winning goal and went on to defeat Medgar Evers by a score of 3-2. Freshman Kevin Ngwolo recorded five saves on the night. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 2-11 on the season while Sarah Lawrence improves to 4-7.
 
Men's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday, October 12, when they take on the College of Saint Elizabeth in a nonconference matchup. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Aviator Sports Complex.
