Box Score Men's Soccer Snaps Losing Streak with 4-1 Victory over Saint Elizabeth

Miguel Deanda. Deanda had a total of three assists on the night and was an important part in Medgar Evers snapping their nine game losing streak. Junior
Dave Henry made the game 2-0 after his goal in the 20
th minute also assisted by Deanda.
The second half started with another goal from the Cougars, freshman
Fequere Saint George scored in the 49
th minute off a pass from Deanda. Saint Elizabeth's Miguel Frias got his team on the board with an unassisted goal in the 64
th minute but that wouldn't be enough. Just to be safe, the Cougars tacked on a fourth goal from junior captain
Patrick Gentles. Primarily a defender, Gentles was able to get passed the Eagle's back line and score his first goal of the season. With the win, Medgar Evers improves to 3-11 on the year and Saint Elizabeth drops to 1-11.
Men's soccer will be back in action on Saturday, October 15, when they visit York College in a CUNYAC matchup that will begin at 2:45 p.m.
