Box Score Men's Soccer vs. York Ends in a Draw
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Oct. 15, 2016) – On Saturday, the men's soccer team traveled to York College to take on the Cardinals in a conference matchup. Medgar Evers fired away at will against York's goalkeeper, taking 30 shots for in the 110 minutes of play. None were able to see the back of the net. Four Cougars attempted at least three shots including freshman
Jordan Coke who took eight, five on goal.
Medgar Evers' defense was anchored by junior captain
Patrick Gentiles allowing just two shots on goal from the Cardinals. Freshman goalkeeper
Kevin Ngwolo saved two shots on the day. With the tie, Medgar Evers is now 3-11-1 (1-7-1 CUNYAC) on the year and York is now 0-13-2 (0-5-2 CUNYAC).
Men's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday night, October 19, when they host conference rival Lehman College for senior night. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and take place at Aviator Sports Complex.
