Men's Volleyball Defeated on the Road by John Jay in Straight Sets

Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Medgar Evers men's volleyball team fell in straight sets to CUNYAC opponent John Jay College, 3-0 [12-25, 12-25, 14-25], Wednesday night at the Doghouse.
 
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) both slammed five kills apiece in a losing effort for the Cougars (0-5, 0-3 CUNYAC).  The sophomore Miller and freshman Kareem Cyrus (St. Georges, Grenada) each tallied a service ace, while primary setter Angel Seda (Arecibo, Puerto Rico) dished out nine assists and three digs.
 
Jack Palleschi paced the Bloodhounds, with team-highs 13 kills and eight aces in the win. Juan DeJesus added eight kills, while Nicholas Anderson chipped in with four aces, a block and 27 assists as the primary setter.
 
John Jay controlled the game from start to finish, compiling 33 total kills with just 11 errors through the game. Medgar Evers could only muster 16 kills along with 12 assists and 12 digs in the defeat.
