Box Score 2 NEW YORK, N.Y. – Despite a valiant effort throughout the day, the Medgar Evers men's volleyball team lost both ends of a CUNYAC multi-match against Staten Island, 0-3 [16-25, 26-28, 24-26], and then to Baruch College, 0-3 [13-25, 5-25, 12-25], Monday morning at the Doghouse on the campus of John Jay College.
Jamal Chance (Goyuave, Grenada) posted 15 kills over the day for the Cougars (0-8, 0-5 CUNYAC) including 12 of them in the losing effort against CSI. They also got seven total blocks from
Cameron Bryan (Queens, N.Y.) and eight kills from
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.), while
Angel Seda (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished out 24 assists.
For the Dolphins, they had a balanced attack on kills with Justin Edwardsen (10), Danil Kukovitskiy (nine) and Song Shin Low (seven) in the win. Edwardsen added 10 digs and Brandon Lei helped out with 19 assists.
Baruch was paced by Thomas Leslein with 14 kills in their victory. Kyriako Semertzidis added seven kills and seven digs, while Nathaniel Chin had a team-high five aces with four kills and five digs.
