Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Medgar Evers men's volleyball team nearly forced a fourth set, but would ultimately fall to CUNYAC foe and borough rival Brooklyn College in straight sets [11-25, 17-25, 21-25] at the Cougars Cave Thursday night.

Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) led the Cougars (1-19, 0-12 CUNYAC) with 11 kills and nine digs and two blocks in a losing effort.
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added eight kills and team-high 11 digs, while
Cecil Clarke (Brooklyn, N.Y.) chipped in with a team-best three blocks.

Rudy Zhao slammed a game-high 15 kills for the Bulldogs (7-15, 4-8 CUNYAC), while Vaughn Titus added eight kills along with three service aces and two assists. Sayuj Zachariah dished out 23 assists along with three blocks and seven digs in the win.

Medgar Evers was outperformed on the scoreboard against Brooklyn to a 36-21 advantage in kills but would earn a win on digs (40 to 34). Brooklyn had a game-best .577 hitting percentage in set one leading to a .247 total all game as the Cougars had .013 including .294 in that same first set.

Up next for the Cougars is a multi-match Saturday afternoon at the Cougars Cave, taking on Rust College and the College of Staten Island.
