Box Score 2 BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Medgar Evers men's volleyball team as they defeated Rust College in straight sets for their second win, [25-16, 25-9, 25-13], then fell to the College of Staten Island in four after grabbing the first set, [25-20, 14-25, 22-25, 23-25], at the Cougars Cave in a multi-match Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) compiled 35 kills over two matchups for the Cougars (2-20), including a game-high 21 kills in the loss to the Dolphins. He also added 14 digs and seven service aces to continue a streak of four straight matches of 10-or-more kills.
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) chipped in with 21 kills with 11 digs and three aces, while
Kareem Cyrus (St. Georges, Grenada) slammed five kills in a losing effort. Setter
Angel Seda (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished out 44 assists, including a season-high 31 against CSI.
