Box Score STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – After earning a first-set victory, the Medgar Evers men's volleyball team lost in four sets to CUNYAC foe College of Staten Island, 3-1 [27-25, 21-25, 19-25, 16-25], Tuesday night at the CSI Sports and Recreation Center.
In defeat, the Cougars (2-24, 0-16 CUNYAC) were paced by senior
Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) who slammed a game-high 21 kills along with 15 digs and a service ace.
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added nine kills and 10 digs, while
Aker-Mark Bayley-Hay (Miami, Fla.) compiled a season-best eight kills.
Angel Seda (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished out 35 assists and two blocks in a losing effort.
Kevin Rosert led the Dolphins' (8-19, 4-12 CUNYAC) balanced attack with 17 kills. Khaleeq Baum added 13 kills and two blocks, while Song Shin Low slammed 11 kills and Steven Caruso tallied a team-best four service aces. Brandon Lei set up 46 assists on the day in the victory.
The Cougars will close out their 2016 regular season Friday night when they host Sarah Lawrence College of the Skyline Conference. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Cougars Cave.
