Box Score 2 NEW YORK, N.Y. – In a CUNYAC multi-match at Hunter College, the Medgar Evers men's volleyball team lost in straight sets to both CCNY [10-25, 21-25, 15-25] and John Jay [12-25, 19-25, 11-25] Saturday afternoon at the Hunter Sportsplex.
Senior
Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) totaled a team-high 18 kills, 13 digs and eight digs over the two matches, including 11 kills in the CCNY match for the Cougars (1-15, 0-8 CUNYAC).
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added nine kills, 12 digs and three service aces, while
Kareem Cyrus (Brooklyn, N.Y.) chipped in with four kills along with nine digs over the two defeats. Setter
Angel Seda (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished off 28 assists in a losing effort as Medgar Ever dropped both ends of the multi-match.
For the Beavers (6-9, 5-4 CUNYAC), Sebastjano Aga led the team with 13 kills and two aces, while Edward He (eight kills) and David Cham (four kills) added to the offensive assault in their three-set win.
Jack Palleschi paced the Bloodhounds (9-5, 7-2 CUNYAC) with a game-high 21 kills along with three blocks and seven digs. Juan DeJesus added 12 kills of his own, while Nicholas Anderson slammed four kills and dished off a game-best 33 assists in their win.
Up next for the Cougars is a home matchup against Skyline Conference opponent and borough rival St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Tuesday night at the Cougars Cave.
