Jamal Chance (Gouyave, Grenada) led the Medgar Evers men's volleyball on the offensive end as they defeated Sarah Lawrence College in straight sets, 3-0 [25-11, 25-19, 25-18], on Senior Night at the Cougars Cave Friday night.
Chance slammed a game-high 16 kills along with three service aces, six digs and three blocks in the win for the Cougars (3-24). Prior to the game, he was honored for his four seasons with the squad with a plaque, a shirt and a heartwarming message from head coach
Avril O'Neal.
Aker-Mark Bayley-Hay (Miami, Fl.) added seven kills with a team-high four blocks and two aces, while
Shaquille Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) compiled six kills and six digs.
Angel Seda (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished out a game-high 23 assists along with two service aces.
Callan Moor led the Gryphons (0-20) with seven kills and a service ace in a losing effort. Richard Warke topped the team with 13 assists and five digs.
