Box Score Men's Soccer Shuts Out Patriots 2-0
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Sep. 10, 2016) – On Saturday, the men's soccer team was in action at Aviator Sports Complex against the Patriots of Valley Forge in a non-conference matchup. The Cougars went ahead early and never looked back scoring two goals in the first 25 minutes. With this win, the men's soccer team improves to an even 2-2 on the season while Valley Forge also falls even to 2-2.
Freshman
Jordan Coke scored the first goal in the 13
th minute and classmate
Nestor Silvas added the second in the 25
th minute while being assisted by junior
Dave Henry. It was a team effort on the defensive side, as Medgar Evers allowed just three shots to Valley Forge and freshmen goalie
Kevin Ngwolo recorded the shutout and tallied one save.
Men's soccer will be back in action on Saturday, September 17, when they take on conference opponent Baruch College at 1:30 p.m. in Manhattan, N.Y.
