NEW YORK, N.Y. (Sep. 21, 2016) – On Wednesday, the men's soccer team took on CUNY conference rival John Jay. Medgar Evers was unable to push across a goal even though outshot  opponent 12-11. The winning goal was scored by John Jay's Aly Jahin in the 34th minute. With this loss, men's soccer falls to 2-4 (1-2 CUNYAC) on the season while John Jay improves to 2-7 (1-1 CUNYAC).

Despite 12 shots the Cougars could not capitalize eventually getting shut out. Freshman goalkeeper Kevin Ngwolo had five saves on the match.

Men's soccer will be back in action on Saturday, September 24, when they take on conference opponent College of Staten Island. The game will take place in Staten Island, N.Y. and start at 12 p.m.
