Outdoor Track & Field Opens Season at Delaware Classic

Results

The Medgar Evers College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the Delaware Classic on Saturday, March 30, at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.

This was the 2019 season opener for both teams.

Hakeem Alexander-Blake got his season off to an excellent start by placing third in the 400m hurdles in a time of 58.66s, a time which already qualifies the freshman for the CUNYAC outdoor championships.

Aleigh McIntyre continued his strong momentum from the indoor season by taking first in the 100m in a time of 11.39s. McIntyre's time, which was posted while running into a 2.9 mph headwind, was just shy of the CUNYAC-qualifying standard of 11.25s.

The Cougars return to action on April 5 and 6 for the TCNJ Invitational at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.
