EWING, NJ - The Medgar Evers College outdoor track & field team competed at the The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
This was the Cougars' second meet of the outdoor season. 12 members of the women's team competed in addition to 11 male student-athletes.
Jody-Ann Blanchard finished seventh in the women's 100m in a time of 13.00s, the second-fastest time in the CUNYAC this year. Blanchard's mark qualified her for the CUNYAC Championships.Â
Tasheka James' time of 13.37s in the same event also qualified her for the ECAC Championships.
In the 400m preliminaries,
Hakeem Alexander-Blake posted a CUNYAC-qualifying time of 51.95s, winning his heat. Alexander-Blake also posted a CUNYAC-qualifying mark in the 400m hurdles
 last week at the season-opening Delaware Classic.
The team returns to action this Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, at Queensborough Community College in Bayside, NY.
