Cougars' women's volleyball program unveils competitive 2026 schedule

The Medgar Evers College women's volleyball team has announced its 2026 schedule, a slate that features a competitive mix of regional non-conference opponents and a pivotal CUNYAC schedule as the Cougars look to build momentum throughout the fall.

The season opens with a pair of road contests, beginning on Sept. 3 at Mount Saint Vincent before traveling to Pennsylvania to face the University of Valley Forge on Sept. 5. The Cougars continue a busy September with additional non-conference matchups at York College (Sept. 15), Purchase College (Sept. 17) and Old Westbury (Sept. 22) before making their home debut against John Jay College on Sept. 29.

October presents the heart of the schedule, beginning with a visit to St. Joseph's University Long Island on Oct. 3 before Medgar Evers opens CUNYAC play at The City College of New York on Oct. 6. That matchup marks the first of several conference contests that will play a major role in the Cougars' postseason aspirations.

Following non-conference trips to Centenary, Pratt Institute and FDU-Florham, the Cougars return to conference action with a second meeting against York College on Oct. 20 before hosting Hunter College on Oct. 22. The conference slate continues with a road match at Baruch College on Oct. 27, giving Medgar Evers three critical CUNYAC contests over the final two weeks of the regular season.

The regular season concludes with a busy closing stretch, as the Cougars compete in a tri-match at Albertus Magnus College on Oct. 31 against the host Falcons and Emmanuel College before returning home for a season finale against Brooklyn College on Nov. 3. The matchup with the Bulldogs serves as another key CUNYAC contest and closes conference play heading into the postseason.

The quarterfinal (November 10) and semifinal (November 12) rounds of the 2026 CUNYAC Tournament will unfold from the location of the higher-ranked teams. The championship match is scheduled for November 13 at 6:30pm at the Hunter Sportsplex in New York, NY.

In all, Medgar Evers will face six CUNYAC opponents during the regular season, and a plethora of non-conference schedule opponents from across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The Cougars will be well-tested throughout the 2026 campaign.
