The Medgar Evers College Department of Athletics announced the 2026 men's soccer schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The 2026 campaign features an exciting slate of non-conference and CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) matchups, as first-year head coach Kevin Blackstock and Cougars prepare will shoot to once again become a viable contender for a CUNYAC crown.
MEC'S 2026 campaign opens on Saturday, Sept. 5, when the Cougars travel to take on Saint Joseph's University Brooklyn before embarking on a demanding stretch of road contests. Medgar Evers will also visit Five Towns College (Sept. 12), Sarah Lawrence College (Sept. 14), University of Valley Forge (Sept. 18), SUNY Delhi (Sept. 21), and Mount Saint Mary College (Oct. 12) as part of its non-conference schedule.
Conference play begins on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when the Cougars host York College in their CUNYAC opener. Medgar Evers will also welcome Baruch College (Sept. 25) and The City College of New York (Oct. 2) to Brooklyn before traveling to face Brooklyn College (Sept. 30), Lehman College (Oct. 6), John Jay College (Oct. 14), and Hunter College (Oct. 21) to conclude the regular season.
The 2026 postseason begins with the CUNYAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday, Oct. 28, with games hosted by the higher-seeded teams. The Semifinals will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, also at the home fields of the higher remaining seeds. The conference champion will be crowned on Saturday, Nov. 7, when the CUNYAC Championship is contested at York College.
With a balanced schedule featuring regional non-conference competition and a challenging conference slate, the Cougars will aim to build momentum throughout the fall as they pursue a return to the CUNYAC postseason and a chance to compete for the conference title.
