Cougars' men's soccer program unveils competitive 2025 schedule; Season kicks off September 3 at Mount Saint Vincent

The Medgar Evers College men's soccer program announced its schedule for the 2025 season on Monday afternoon. The Cougars' competitive slate features seven CUNYAC clashes, along with 10 non-conference confrontations.

The Cougars open their season with nine consecutive non-league contests, with all but one on the road. Medgar Evers kicks off its season with a match at the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, September 3, before traveling to New London, Connecticut on Saturday, September 6, to battle Mitchell College. Two days later, on September 8, Medgar Evers will play at Sarah Lawrence College, before staying on the road to tussle with the University of Valley Forge in a Saturday matinee (9/13). Medgar Evers then wraps up its road trip with non-conference clashes with York (9/15) and New Jersey City University (9/17).

The Cougars open their home portion of the 2025 slate with a non-league match against the City College of New York on September 22. Following that for Medgar Evers will be another road trip, with the Cougars battling the Sound of Five Towns College on Saturday, September 27, while also facing off against Mount Saint Mary's (NY) (9/29) in Newburgh. The Cougars open up the CUNYAC portion of the schedule with a road match at CCNY on October 1.

From there, the Cougars will compete in seven matches, including six of its final seven against CUNYAC foes. Medgar Evers' first conference home match of the year takes place on October 4, when the Cougars will host the York College Cardinals. Medgar Evers will be a non-CUNYAC match against SUNY Maritime on the road on October 6, before returning home to take on Lehman College on October 8. A CUNYAC Battle of Brooklyn will take place at Brooklyn on October 11, before the Cougars take on Baruch College on the road (10/15).

Medgar Evers' home finale will take place on October 18, when the Cougars will host the Hawks of Hunter College. The Cougars finalize the regular season portion of their schedule against John Jay College at Randall's Island (away) on October 22.

Should the Cougars make the CUNYAC tournament, the quarterfinals will take place on Wednesday, October 29, with the semifinals scheduled for Saturday, November 1. Both of those aforementioned tournament contests will be hosted by the higher seeds. The CUNYAC title match is set for Saturday, November 8, at York College's Outdoor Athletic Complex (2:30pm).
